Following Karl’s programme has brought results I never thought possible – it’s not just the drop in dress size, I have more energy than I’ve had for years, and I feel fantastic!


The day I met Karl for my consultation my life changed- sounds cheesy but it is completely true. We discussed some goals. First on my list was a half marathon in Connemara, I explained my absolute dreams in terms of weight, clothes size, fitness etc. Karl advised me on food, portion control, exercise and my running training. I met with Karl weekly; his excitement and enthusiasm made me want to do better and helped keep me motivated. Karl spurred on my own motivation and desire to make a change. It has been the most amazing journey and experience for me- the best investment I have ever made into myself.   In four months I went from struggling running for a couple of minutes to running a half marathon, I have lost 24lbs, almost 30 inches of fat and am now the proud owner of a size 8 body! For all the years I struggled with my weight, I look back on my 4 month transformation and it was so easy, exciting and genuinely enjoyable in comparison.


One friday evening I decided something had to change. I had to stop mistreating my body. I sent an email enquiring about personal training sessions, an email that transformed my life. Since then I have lost about 35lbs in weight, my shape has changed completely and with this has come an enormous increase in self confidence.I was always nervous starting each session but by the time I had finished, I was always motivated and looking forward to working even harder the following week. For anybody trying to achieve a similar goal, I would say be honest with yourself and admit you have to lose weight, be fair to your body and treat it as it deserves to be treated and reward yourself along the way. There's nothing quite like the feeling of buying a new pair of skinny jeans!


I find that exercise with Karl is a great trade off-if I behave myself during the week, do my cardiovascular homework and my training sessions, eat sensibly, then at the weekend, I can take a night off and indulge myself in whatever takes my fancy without the guilt. Over the years I have found that keeping fit is not only good for my body but also my mind, I feel energised after a long walk, even problems don't seem to be insurmountable after exercise


Karl has been our personal trainer since 2006- we believe that we are the first husband and wife team that he has supervised. We are particularly pleased with our general fitness and stamina levels, both physically and mentally, particularly when contrasted with those of a similar age as ourselves. Basically we are in good shape and intend to stay that way.

Karl and I started working together in the gym and I went through the dreaded step onto the scales, I just had to accept where I was and focus on where I wanted to go.Karl simply wrote my measurements and weight down and assured me that if I worked with him there was an Elle McPhereson hidden away!Being fit, healthy and in good shape is unquestionably the best feeling in the world. I feel better, stronger, younger. I eat better, I am more able to cope with all that life throws at me and best of all, I can get into those cute jeans!


After three months of guidance and support I have managed to lose over 28 inches from my total body size and over 2 ½ stone in weight. Karl provided a totally rounded service, devised a programme which was specific to me and my requirements and this was coupled with motivation and expert advice at every step. I've never felt as healthy or fitter. My journey continues with the help of Karl - starting yours will be the best decision you'll ever make!
